Other Services
The Business & Industry Center (B&IC) can assist in:
Providing space or facilities for training or other functions. This may be dependent upon the time of year and the academic schedule. We have the ability to host small training programs requiring one room and programs requiring multiple rooms.* We have a 100-seat classroom with computer-presentation ability and a 200-seat theater. Refreshments and meals can be provided.
For more information, please contact the B&IC's Director of Workforce Development at:
(518) 762-4651, ext. 8103 or Email Us
* For multiple rooms or large groups, weekends, the academic recesses of mid-December and spring recess or the months of January, June, July, or August, are most appropriate.
Free Business Counseling
Free business counseling for entrepreneurs and those seeking to start their own businesses is available through FMCC. FMCC's Business and Industry Center partners with SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives, a program of the U.S. Small Business Administration, to provide this free service. Contact our Continuing Education office - we will take your name, phone number, and a brief idea of your business interest and forward this info to the SCORE office in Albany. A SCORE counselor should contact you within a week, interview you over the phone, and send a packet to you. Counseling sessions are by appointment only and scheduled on 2 mornings each month at FMCC. |
